Surf the Net, Save the World

Since the members of WomenMakeNews are obviously women who are both internet-savvy and interested in helping others, I wanted to write and tell you about the recently launched site Better The World.  It’s a great way to give to charity if you don’t have the extra cash or if you are already giving but want to do more.

War Resisters

That was an excellent interview  with Kim, but there is a serious new development in her story. Despite Parliament's expressed decision that War Resisters be allowed to remain in Canada, and polls determining that the Canadian people agree, our government is still shovelling them out of the country.  Kim is next on the list and must leave before March 26th or face deportation.

How to make moms more educated consumers

There is an enormous amount of talk about toxic ingredients in the products we use everyday- from shampoos, lotions, household cleaners and in our children's toys. Many women still find it very complicating to keep tabs with all the new research coming out on a daily basis. Some also don't know where to start to make their home more 'green'.

MY SON WAS ABDUCTED MY MY HUSBAND BUT YET NO AMBER ALERT FOR THREE DAYS

 MY SON WAS TAKEN FROM ME BY MY HUSBAND OCTOBER 22,2006. I WAS IN LABOR WITH HIS SECOND CHILD AND HE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF MY WEEKNESS. COCHISE COUNTY DID NOT ISSUE AN AMBER ALERT FOR THREE DAYS BY THAT TIME HE HAD TAKEN MY SON OUT OF THE COUNTRY. YESTERDAY WAS HIS BIRTHDAY HE TURNED FOUR AND I HAVE NOT SEEN HIM SINCE HE WAS TWO.
