What if TV pundits trashed McCain the way they did Clinton? See the video Sexism sells aka Anchors guys gone Wild

Whether you supported Obama or Hillary in Democratic Idol doesn't matter.

Watch this video that compiles all the greasy, sleazy, below the belt remarks about the first viable female candidate for president-plus a fewhorn-dogging clips of blonde female anchors. (see the link below)

Of course, this kind of baseness happened mainly on the cable networks and blogosphere-as more respectable commentators have pointedout.  The big networks don't trash-talk-nor was it a daily occurrence.  And no, these cheap shots probably didn't lose her the nomination, that's a more complicated calculus.

Still, the fact remains, these guys were allowed to speak this way about Hillary minus an apology or two.  They weren't pulled off the air. 

This video is the tip of a very nasty iceberg.  If all those comments--about hags, nagging, Fatal Attraction, cleavage-were said in a public broadcast, just imagine what was said privately.  Just imagine what was not even uttered.

And worst of all, if it's okay to treat a  United States Senator like that, just imagine how people treat a woman behind a counter.
