How to make moms more educated consumers

There is an enormous amount of talk about toxic ingredients in the products we use everyday- from shampoos, lotions, household cleaners and in our children's toys. Many women still find it very complicating to keep tabs with all the new research coming out on a daily basis. Some also don't know where to start to make their home more 'green'. But yet, it is the most important information that every mom should know about. Many diseases and ailments have been linked to the exposure of toxic chemicals. 

There are great resources that can help moms get all the information they need to educate themselves and become the most informed consumers. Us women, as the household decision makers (most of the time), need to know which products to buy and which ones we should not even consider bringing into our homes. We can no longer trust product labels that claim to be "natural". We need to learn to read the ingredients and know which brands to trust.
