Help for parental abduction

So sorry to read this, unfortunately parental abduction is very common.  I've researched the issue, as my son was abducted by his father.  I have some suggestions for you, and links, but first and foremost DON'T GIVE UP.  There ARE resources available to you even if you have limited means, you just need to focus and get people on board to help.

Start right now.

1)  Contact local police, state authorities, federal agencies.  In the US, go to the State Dept Parental Abduction site:

 This will tell you how to open a file.   This is useful in dealing with embassies abroad, they will give authority to your claim.  Be sure to open a missing child file, get the name and email address of the person you speak with.  Keep track of every person you speak with, and keep calling them to make sure they are on top of your child's case.

 2)  Try to determine  where your husband has taken your child.  Contact any of his friends and family that you can.  Don't threaten or be hysterical, these people may be able to provide information that will be useful in finding your son.  Determine if the country belongs to the LeHague Convention, and if so, ask the State Dept. to help contact local authorities in that country to find your husband.

 3)  Contact any non-profit organizations that could help. Mark Miller runs a Christian organization in PA that does search and rescue AT NO COST to the aggrieved parent.  His website is www.aaflc.org, he has helped others in your situation.

DON'T LOSE HEART, YOU ARE YOUR SON'S ADVOCATE, HE NEEDS YOUR HELP.  You have your hands full with a new baby, enlist help wherever you can.  There are so many kind people willing to help, don't be afraid to ask for it.  CALL LOCAL TV STATIONS, LAWYER REFERRALS, COUNTY SHERIFF, LOCAL NEWSPAPER.  Get your story out there, let everyone who might be of assistance know what has happened.  I met a women who volunteered her time and travelled at her own expense to reunite families, there are angels out there.
