OUTFEET For The Female Form
Very little design is gendered. So many products come in unisex models, whether or not they suit the female body or lifestyle. But here's a leg that's clearly belongs to a woman.
This handsome prosthetic is called Outfeet and was developed by young Israeli industrial designer Aviya Serfaty, who was interested in notions of body image and femininity.
Not only does OUTFEET follow the female silhouette, it also becomes a fashion accessory. You can add a heel. Plus different skins can be stretched over the frame for different looks-- sportswear, day wear, or evening. The innovative desing was honored by a Metropolis Magazine competition.
